Engagement gifts: The boy’s family arrives at the girl’s home with an empty bowl and two tubes of bamboo shoots wrapped with a bead necklace symbolizing the attachment of the couple. If the girl agrees to marry, she accepts the tubes, puts the necklace round her neck and fills the bowl with rice for her in-law family.
A silver bracelet unifying the 2 straws at the recall for the souls of the married couple at the wedding (sticks) and a gift tray used at the wedding.

Sword used at the wedding of Y Phang. A stone used for the foot washing ritual before entering a bride’s in-law’s home. An Agate necklace used at the engagement and the copper box used to collect agate necklaces from the groom’s family for the engagement.
